Donetsk, Apr 29 - DAN. Ukrainian armed formations used 122mm artillery to shell the Yakovlevka village, the Donetsk People’s Republic Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) reported on Thursday.
“Four 122mm rounds were fired from the Ukraine-controlled Opytnoye settlement outside Avdeyevka,” the DPR Office at the JCCC said. “Ukrainian representatives at the JCCC have ignored the DPR's request to establish ceasefire by employing the coordination mechanism.”
The package of tighter ceasefire control measures has been formally in effect in Donbass since July 27, 2020. The document bans the use of all weapons, deployment of hardware, special operations, engineer works and unmanned aerial vehicles flights.
On Wednesday, the Contact Group held a meeting focused on coordination of the violation verification mechanism. According to the Donetsk People’s Republic Foreign Ministry, Kiev rejected all the proposed options.*jk
