Donetsk, Sep 5 — DAN. Russian armed forces have delivered a strike at positions of Ukraine’s 81st Air Assault Brigade in the Krasnopolye village north of Slavyansk, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said on Monday.
“Up to 20 Ukrainian servicemen were killed and more than 50 were wounded in concentrated strikes at battlefield positions of 81st Air Assault Brigade in the Krasnopolye settlement area in the Donetsk People’s Republic, ” Konashenkov said.
Russian troops also destroyed enemy artillery missile ordnance depots in Dobrovolye and Zelyonoye Pole and control centers in Slavyansk and Artyomovsk. Russian air defense units shot down several Ukrainian drones in Yegorovka, Novy Svet and Zelyonoye Pole, he added.
The People’s Republics and Russia have been conducting a special military operation in Donbass since February 24. As of now the LPR territory is fully liberated; in the DPR, invaders have been dislodged from 275 settlements.*jk
