Donetsk, Aug 13 - DAN. Ukrainian army units violated the Additional Measures to Strengthen Ceasefire on the contact line in Donbass five times over the past 24 hours, the Donetsk People’s Republic Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination reported on Thursday.

Ukrainian servicemen used an unmanned aerial vehicle in the Shumy settlement area outside Gorlovka in the designated period, the report said. On top of that, Ukrainian forces carried out engineer works using foxhole charges at their positions in the Kiev-controlled Novolugankoye and Novotroitskoye settlements; similar works were carried out in Shumy.

No strikes by Ukrainian forces at the DPR have been recorded over the past 24 hours, the JCCC said.

In the previous reporting period, Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire twice.

The package of tighter ceasefire control measures came into force in Donbass on July 27, 2020. A ban is imposed on the use of any armaments, including small arms by Ukraine, the DPR and the LPR, as well as on the deployment of hardware to the frontline, mining and further organizing  of positions.*jk
