Donetsk, Oct 8 - DAN. Ukrainian forces fired two anti-tank guided missiles (PTUR) at the Donetsk airport on Thursday morning, the Donetsk People’s Republic Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) reported.

“At 06:40, Ukrainian armed formations fired at the Donetsk airport terminal expending two anti-tank missiles (PTUR),” the report said. Fire was delivered from the Kiev-controlled Opytnoye settlement.

Anti-tank guided missiles were last used in the contact line area on July 24.

The package of tighter ceasefire control measures came into force in Donbass on July 27, 2020. The document bans the use of any weapons, deployment of hardware, special operations, engineer works and unmanned aerial vehicles flights. The accords on additional ceasefire control measures considerably eased tensions in the region. The armistice on the contact line was nearly fully observed in the first weeks but later on the number of violations by Ukrainian forces began to grow again.*jk
