Petrovskoye, Oct 10 (DAN) - Kiev forces as of now have not fired a white flare in response to the Donetsk People’s Republic militia’s signal of its readiness to resume the disengagement of troops in Petrovskoye.
Under the plan, the parties, before beginning to eliminate violations in the Petrovskoye-Bogdanovka disengagement area, have to confirm their readiness by synchronously firing white signal flares. In case of confirmation, the parties have to fire green flares to start the disengagement.
It is the second disengagement attempt; the first, made on Wednesday, was foiled by Ukraine. Several hours had passed but the Ukrainian servicemen did not respond to the DPR militia’s disengagement readiness signals.
On October 1, the Contact Group in Minsk coordinated the schedule plan to eliminate the violations in the Petrovskoye (DPR) and Zolotoye (LPR) disengagement zones starting October 7. The process has to last 30 days.*jk
