Donetsk, Sep 16 - DAN. Two Ukrainian servicemen were seriously wounded in a grenade explosion at their positions in the Shumy settlement area outside Gorlovka, the Donetsk People’s Republic People’s Militia reported on Wednesday.
“Over the past 24 hours, two Ukrainian servicemen were seriously wounded in a RGD-5 grenade explosion in the Shumy settlement area,” the DPR militia said.
In a separate incident, a Kiev army serviceman was wounded in a blast during engineer works at Ukrainian army positions in the Vodyanoye village area near Mariupol.
Reports on Tuesday said that Ukrainian army units conducted engineer works near Shumy.
On September 10, Kiev derailed the joint inspection with the DPR and the OSCE in Shumy, whose objective was to see the real situation concerning Ukrainian army engineer works in the district. Donetsk repeatedly said that Ukrainian forces had constructed fortifications outside Gorlovka in violation of the additional ceasefire control measures, and that they advanced them to the Severskiy Donets - Donbass water duct arc planning to gain a foothold there.
The package of tighter ceasefire control measures came into force in Donbass on July 27, 2020. The document bans the use of any weapons, deployment of hardware, special operations, engineer works and flights of unmanned aerial vehicles.*jk
