Donetsk, Apr 27 - DAN. The Ukrainian army suffered casualties on Friday in an attempted reconnaissance in force in the southern part of the front; three Ukrainian servicemen were killed and another four were wounded, the DPR Operations Command reported.
“Early in the morning, using fog as a cover, the enemy force up to 14 personnel from the 36th marines brigade tried to carry out a reconnaissance in force near our position on the Mariupol axis,” an Operation Command representative said. “However, they hit mines as they were approaching our positions. The armed clash that followed the detection of the commandoes left three of them dead and another four wounded.”
The Ukrainian servicemen retreated to the positions retrieving their dead and wounded colleagues.
“We regret to report that two our servicemen were killed in the shootout,” the DPR Operations Command said.*jk
