Donetsk, Aug 29 - DAN. Three Donetsk People’s Republic militiamen were captured during a clash with gunmen of the Ukrainian extremist organisation “Azov,” the DPR People’s Militia said on Thursday.
“Our intelligence received updated information concerning the militiamen who went missing during the night fight,” the DPR militia said. “According to our information, our defenders were taken prisoner by Azov Nazi regiment gunmen and are currently held at the Nazis command centre in Novoluganskoye.”
Earlier reports on Thursday said that a Ukrainian special operations team advanced to DPR positions on the Gorlovka axis overnight to Thursday to engage the Republic’s forces. One DPR militiaman was killed in the shootout and one was seriously wounded. Initial reports said three militiamen were missing.*jk
