Donetsk, Jan 6 — DAN. Russian armed forces have shot down an enemy Su-25 warplane west of Kramatorsk over the past 24 hours, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said on Friday.

On Donetsk axis, Russian army units carried out offensive operations and delivered continuous artillery fire destroying a large group of enemy troops and their materiel.

On South Donetsk axis, strikes were delivered at Ukrainian forces positions in Konstantinovka, Novomikhailovka, Prechistovka, Novomayorskoye (DPR) and Dorozhnyak (Zaporozhye region).

On Krasny Liman axis, two assault groups were destroyed in Yampolovka, and another three sabotage and reconnaissance groups were eliminated in Serebryanka, Grigorovka (DPR) and Chervona Dibrova (LPR).

On Kupyansk axis, Russian artillery hit Ukrainian army positions in Novosyolovskoye (LPR), Sinkovka, Ivanovka and Berestovoye (Kharkov region).

Konashenkov also said that Russian troops destroyed three ammunition dumps in the settlements of Novomikhailovka, Chasov Yar (DPR) and Otradokamenka (Kherson region), and that a control center of Ukraine’s 95th air assault brigade was destroyed in Chasov Yar.  In Avdeyevka and Rai-Alexandrovka, Russian forces destroyed an S-300 air defense system launcher and radar. AN/TPQ-36 and AN/TPQ-50 counter fire radars were destroyed in Vasilkovka (Kharkov region) and Ivano-Daryevka (DPR). D-20 and M-777 howitzers were destroyed in Pobeda (DPR) and Orekhov (Zaporozhye region).

At 12:00 on Friday, Moscow unilaterally introduced a ceasefire in the special military operations zone for the period of Christmas holidays. However, Kiev continues to deliver strikes in various parts of the front. On Krasny Liman axis, the enemy attacked Russian positions with mortars four times; three artillery strikes were recorded in the LPR’s Belogorovka settlement and eight artillery strikes were delivered from the Novopavlovka area of the Zaporozhye region. All enemy fire points were suppressed.*jk
