Donetsk, Nov 17 – DAN. Ukrainian special services decided to enhance their agent representation in the Ukrainian army to gain total control over commanders and to detect opponents of current authorities, said DPR Operations Command deputy commander Eduard Basurin.

"Our intelligence revealed that the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) issued directives to its counter-intelligence officers in the army units. In particular, this is about boost agent numbers in units to reveal unlawful activity of commanders and to enhance awareness of and ability to neutralize political activity against current authorities," Basurin said.

He pointed out that the information had been confirmed by sources in the 25th separate airborne brigade and the 30th separate mechanized brigade. The SBU's directives also concern financial aspects of units' functioning and revealing true scale of losses incurred. *ot
