Donetsk, Apr 5 - DAN. Russian aerospace forces have destroyed four fuel depots in Ukraine over the past 24 hours, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said on Tuesday.

“Air-launched high-precision missiles destroyed four depots that supplied fuel to Ukrainian troops in the areas of Kremenets (Ternopol region - eds Donetsk News Agency), Cherkassy, Zaporozhye and Novomoskovsk (Dnepropetrovsk region - eds DAN),” Konashenkov said.

He added that 134 Ukrainian military targets had been hit overnight including eight command and communication nodes, one illumination and guidance radar of an S-300 air defense system, one Tochka-U missile launcher, six ammunition dumps, two fuel depots and 85 military equipment concentration areas.

Zaporozhye and Novomoskovsk are located some 100 kilometres from the Ukraine-occupied territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic. At present, an operation is underway to encircle the Donbass group of the Ukrainian army.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a special military operation aimed at demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine. On the same day, DPR and LPR forces began to liberate the occupied areas of Donbass. Fighting is ongoing in Mariupol, on the approaches to Severodonetsk and Lisichansk and in settlements next to Donetsk and Avdeyevka.*jk
