Donetsk, Jun 27 — DAN. Russian aerospace forces have struck enemy artillery platoons with high precision weapons on the Donetsk and Gorlovka axes, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said on Monday.
Russian forces struck three “Grad” multiple rocket launcher platoons in the Avdeyevka and Dzerzhinsk areas, a 155mm howitzer platoon in the Konstantinovka area, two Giatsint 152mm howitzer platoons in the Kalinovo and Artyomovo settlement areas and two platoons of 2S1 Gvozdika self-propelled howitzers near Ocheretino and Novoluganskoye. All these units had been delivering fire at Donetsk and other DPR towns.
Earlier on Monday, Donetsk People’s Republic Head Denis Pushilin praised the effectiveness of counterbattery fire.
The operation aimed at demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine and liberation of Donbass began on February 24, 2022. On that day, the Donbass Republics troops launched a liberation movement supported by the Russian army. In the DPR alone, 239 settlements have been liberated from invaders in four-odd months.*jk
