Donetsk, Jun 2 - DAN. Gunmen of the Ukrainian extremist organisation “Right Sector” opened fire at 10th Mountain Assault Brigade servicemen near the village of Gnutovo north of Mariupol, the Donetsk People’s Republic People’s Militia reported on Tuesday.

“Our intelligence spotted the presence of ten “Right Sector” nationalists in a house in Gnutovo outskirts, which is the responsibility zone of 10th Mountain Assault Brigade,” the DPR militia said. “According to information from local residents, a shootout occurred between the nationalists and 10th Brigade servicemen at night. One serviceman was killed and another two were wounded.”

The conflict broke out after Ukrainian servicemen refused to let nationalists come to 10th Brigade positions on the contact line.

Reports on Monday said that the Kiev army had stopped shelling the DPR because of Ukrainian politicians’ visit to Germany. No strikes have been delivered at the DPR over the past 24 hours.*jk
