Donetsk, May 5 - DAN. The Donetsk People’s Republic Foreign Ministry criticized the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine in connection with the strike at Donetsk on Tuesday in which four civilians, including three children, were wounded.
“The position of the OSCE SMM whose representatives were invited to examine the wounded children and the scene raises a big question. They refused to perform this monitoring under the far-fetched pretext of the ban on visits to hospitals which is not true to the fact, thus ignoring their immediate mission to record all ceasefire violations without exception,” DPR Foreign Minister Natalia Nikonorova said in a statement received by the Donetsk News Agency.
She urged the coordinators of the negotiations to take all necessary actions envisioned by the Minsk Agreements and the OSCE SMM mandate to monitor ceasefire violation details. “For our part, we’ll urge it in a note to this international organisation. At the next meeting of the Contact Group, we'll broach the issue of the strike in which three children were wounded, so that Ukrainian authorities launch a probe and hold responsible all those who have to do with this crime,” Nikonorova said.
The Donetsk News Agency asked the OSCE to comment on the incident.*jk
