Donetsk, Jul 28 — DAN. Ukrainian gunmen shelled the Donetsk People’s Republic 44 times on Thursday, targeting Gorlovka, Donetsk, Makeyevka and the Yasinovataya district, said the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination of issues related to Ukraine’s war crimes (JCCC).
The enemy mostly used heavy artillery supplied by the West and multiple rocket launchers. Overall, more than 200 rounds of ammunition were fired at the DPR, the JCCC said.
Nine civilians including two adolescents, aged 17 and 15 were wounded and 17 homes were damaged by artillery fire.
On Thursday, DPR residents took part in the events to commemorate the children killed in the Donbass war. They brought flowers, soft toys and grave lanterns to war memorials across the Republic. In Zugres, a rally was held on the beach which Ukrainian aircraft bombed in 2014. Residents of Moscow and other regions also remembered the children killed during Donbass hostilities.*jk
