Donetsk, Mar 29 - DAN. Two Ukrainian army scouts were killed and another three were wounded in a mine field blast in the vicinity of Donetsk on Wednesday evening, the Donetsk People’s Republic Operations Command said.
“About 21:00, our servicemen detected a Ukrainian army reconnaissance group up to ten personnel in the Luganskoye settlement area (west of Donetsk - eds Donetsk News Agency) moving towards our positions,” an Operation Command officer said. “The enemy walked into a minefield; according to preliminary information, two were killed and another three were wounded in the explosion.”
Using covering fire, the Ukrainian servicemen retreated to their positions leaving one wounded colleague at the scene. The DPR Operations Command said that the Republic’s armed forces had not opened fire in the course of the incident.*jk
