Donetsk, Dec 1 — DAN. Russian forces have taken the settlement of Kurdyumovka between Gorlovka and Artyomovsk under full control, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Thursday.
“The settlement of Kurdyumovka of the Donetsk People’s Republic has been fully liberated from Ukrainian army units in Russian troops’ offensive operations, ” the Ministry said.
The settlement is situated ten kilometers from the southern outskirts of Artyomovsk. The Seversky Donets — Donbass canal, the key water supply line in the region and a railway pass the settlement. DPR Acting Head Denis Pushilin said that the liberation of Kurdyumovka would help to completely block Ukrainian army supply routes in the district.
The Russian Defense Ministry earlier reported the liberation of Andreyevka, Belogorovka and Pershe Travnya.*jk
