Donetsk, May 26 – DAN. Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire twice over the past 24 hours, the DPR mission to the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) said.
“Over the past 24 hours, the number of registered violations was two, the total of 11 rounds were fired.”
The Luganskoye township on the outskirts of Donetsk and Novaya Maryevka in the DPR south came under IFVs, APCs, and grenade launcher fire.
In the previous reporting period, Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire twice as well.
All the attempts to reinstall the ceasefire through the coordination mechanism failed as Ukrainian ignored the requests.
The Additional Measures to Strengthen the Ceasefire were signed at the Contact Group meeting on July 22 to reinforce and control the indefinite ceasefire in effect since July 21, 2019, the latest in the series of more than 20 reconfirmation and announcements of the “silence regime”. The package came into effect on July 27. *ot
