Donetsk, May 17 – DAN. Ukrainian armed formations observed the ceasefire seven times in the past 24 hours, said LPR People’s Militia representative at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC).
“Over the past 24 hours seven violations were recorded, the number of rounds fired was 89,” the report reads.
The enemy used 82 mm and 120 mm mortars, grenade launchers and small arms to target six townships on the Donetsk, Gorlovka and Mariupol axes.
All the attempts to reinstall the ceasefire through the coordination mechanism failed as Ukrainian ignored the requests.
In the previous reporting period, Ukraine violated the ceasefire eight times. On Saturday, May 15, five violations were recorded.
The Additional Measures to Strengthen the Ceasefire were signed at the Contact Group meeting on July 22 to reinforce and control the indefinite ceasefire in effect since July 21, 2019, the latest in the series of more than 20 reconfirmation and announcements of the “silence regime”. The package came into effect on July 27. *ot
