Donetsk, May 24 – DAN. Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire 55 times this week, firing 200-plus shells, said the head of the DPR People's Militia command press service Daniil Bezsonov.

Over the week, 55 ceasefire violations were recorded; 19 townships came under fire. Overall, 200-plus rounds were fired.”

Over this period, the enemy used 122 mm artillery, 82 mm and 120 mm caliber mortars, anti-tank guided missiles, IFVs, grenade launchers and small arms, large caliber machine guns. Of those, 15 shells were of 122 mm caliber.

The Vasilyevskaya pumping station was targeted multiple times.

The retaliatory fire with non-prohibited weapons killed five Ukrainian troops and injured 12. The majority of losses were incurred by the 35th separate marine brigade.

A new recommitment to the ceasefire in Donbass has come into force on Friday, 1.01 a.m. GMT +3, after the security working group of the Contact Group had agreed to it on the previous day.*ot
