Donetsk, Dec 23 – DAN. Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire 52 times this week, firing almost 650 shells, the DPR mission to the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) said.

“Over the week, from December 16 to December 23, 52 ceasefire violations were recorded. The total number of rounds fired on the DPR is 649, or 3.5 tons, or 56 ammunition boxes.

Of those 42 rounds were of 122 mm caliber, 112 were of 82 mm and 120 mm caliber.”

An indefinite ceasefire came into force in Donbass in the night of July 20-21 as it has been agreed to by the Contact Group in Minsk.

The ceasefire agreement includes provisions for disciplinary measures against perpetrators, ban on offensive, sabotage and reconnaissance operations, ban on any fire including sniper fire, deployment of heavy weapons to populated areas and, first of all, civilian infrastructural objects such as schools, kindergartens, hospitals and public places. *ot
