Donetsk, May 28 – DAN. Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire 21 times over the past week, said DPR People's Militia deputy chief-of-staff Eduard Basurin.

“Ukrainian fighters violated the Additional Measures to Strengthen the Ceasefire 21 times over the past week,” he said.

The enemy used mortars of 120 mm, 82 mm and 60 mm caliber, grenade launchers, high caliber machine guns, and small arms to target Gorlovka, Donetsk outskirts, and townships in the Novoazovsk district. Damage was reported.

All the attempts to reinstall the ceasefire through the coordination mechanism failed as Ukrainian ignored the requests.

The Additional Measures to Strengthen the Ceasefire were signed at the Contact Group meeting on July 22 to reinforce and control the indefinite ceasefire in effect since July 21, 2019, the latest in the series of more than 20 reconfirmation and announcements of the “silence regime”. The package came into effect on July 27. *ot
