Kiev forces strikes on DPR south prompt evacuation of Oktyabr residents

Donetsk, Nov 9 - DAN. Kiev forces continue shelling DPR south areas; the Republic's Command began evacuating people from Oktyabr village, DAN correspondent reports.

Several families have already been evacuated to neighborhood townships, some people have been taken to Novoazovsk.

Earlier in the day DPR command had to close traffic through Oktyabr checkpoint across the southern part of the contact line, due to heavy shelling from Ukraine's side.

Today at noon Kiev forces opened fire on DPR south areas using heavy weapons, targeting Oktyabr in Novoazovsk district while OSCE monitors were present there. At least two houses were damaged, no casualties were reported.
