Donetsk, Jun 22 — DAN. The Ukrainian army has decreased its activity 16 days into the beginning of its offensive, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu reported to President Vladimir Putin.
“Having sustained considerable losses over 16 days of active fighting, the enemy decreased its activity, and is currently regrouping, ” Shoigu said at the Russian Security Council meeting on Thursday.
Kiev forces are now preparing for further offensive as well as for attacks from Russia, he added. The Defense Minister also assessed the threats in connection with the announced new supplies of armaments to Ukraine by NATO countries.
In early June, the Kiev army began an offensive in the special military operation zone using strategic reserves. Ukrainian forces failed to achieve success in battlefield as the country’s Defense Ministry reports showed.*jk
