Donetsk, May 24 – DAN. The Ukrainian army violated the ceasefire 18 times in the past 24 hours, firing almost 190 rounds, said DPR representative at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) Ruslan Yakubov.
"Over the past 24 hours the enemy violated the ceasefire 18 times firing 187 shells,” Yakubov said.
Dokuchayevsk, Donetsk outskirts, Gorlovka, Yasinovataya were targeted with large caliber mortars, anti-tank guided missiles, IFVs, APCs, and small arms. The rounds under 12.7 mm caliber are excluded from daily reports.
In the previous reporting period, the Ukrainian army violated fired 69 rounds. Today's 190 rounds fired make a triple increase in the intensity of fire.
A new recommitment to the ceasefire in Donbass has come into force on Friday, 1.01 a.m. GMT +3, after the security working group of the Contact Group had agreed to it on the previous day. At 1.05 a.m. Kiev forces opened 120 mm mortar fire on Alexandrovka, western Donetsk. *ot
