Donetsk, Sep 11 - DAN. Ukrainian armed formations have observed the ceasefire on the contact line with the Donetsk People’s Republic over the past 24 hours while violating the additional ceasefire control measures by conducting engineer works at their positions, the DPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination reported on Friday.
At 10:55 and 11:10, two persons were seen engaging in engineer works at Ukrainian troops positions next to the Kiev-controlled Krasnogorovka settlement west of Donetsk, the JCCC said.
In the previous reporting period, Ukrainian servicemen did not fire at the DPR, but violated additional ceasefire control measures three times.
Kiev forces’ engineer works to develop positions is an acute issue at present due to the situation in the Shumy settlement area outside Gorlovka.
The package of tighter ceasefire control measures came into force in Donbass on July 27, 2020. The document bans the use of any weapons, deployment of hardware, special operations, engineer works and flights of unmanned aerial vehicles, and envisions punishment for violations.*jk
