Donetsk, Feb 22 – DAN. Ukrainian President Petr Poroshenko cannot bring himself to withdraw hardware from the contact line in Donbass in the near future because of domestic political tensions, DPR Head Alexander Zakharchenko told a news conference on Wednesday.
“The failure to disengage stems from the situation in Ukraine; the pullback will heighten tensions, so Poroshenko won’t do it,” Zakharchenko said.
DPR Operations Command earlier voiced a similar vision. The military believes Kiev will not pull back its hardware in the near future making sure that the process is delayed. *jk
