Donetsk, Apr 22 - DAN. Ukrainian armed formations have opened fire at the Donetsk People’s Republic territory five times over the past 24 hours, the DPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) reported on Thursday.

“Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian armed formations violated the ceasefire five times,” the report said.

The enemy used an anti-tank missile system, infantry fighting vehicle cannons, 82mm and 120mm mortars, grenade launchers and small arms. Strikes were delivered at the areas of the Shakhta 6/7, Shakhta Gagarina and Zheleznaya Balka settlements on the Gorlovka axis and Krutaya Balka and Starnomikhailovka on the Donetsk axis.

“Ukraine has ignored the DPR’s attempts to use the coordination mechanism at the JCCC towards securing immediate ceasefire after each fact of violation,” the DPR Office said.

In the previous reporting period, Kiev forces shelled the Republic four times expending more than 50 rounds of ammunition.

The package of tighter ceasefire control measures has been in effect in Donbass since July 27, 2020. The document bans the use of all weapons, deployment of hardware, special operations, engineer works and unmanned aerial vehicles flights.*jk
