Donetsk, Apr 23 - DAN. Ukrainian armed formations violated the ceasefire 16 times over the past 24 hours firing more than 160 rounds of ammunition at the Donetsk People’s Republic territory, the DPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination reported on Thursday.
“Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian armed formations violated the ceasefire 16 times expending 162 rounds of ammunition,” the report said.
Strikes were delivered at the areas of the Volvo Centre, the Shakhta Trudovskaya, Alexandrovka and Staromikhailovka settlements and the Spartak village on the Donetsk axis, the Golmovskiy and Dolomitnoye settlements on the Gorlovka axis and the outskirts of the Petrovskoye and Sakhanka villages on the Mariupol axis, the JCCC said.
The enemy used 82mm and 120mm mortars, infantry fighting vehicle cannons, grenade launchers and high calibre small arms. The amount of expended ammunition of calibre up to 12.7mm is not added to overall daily statistics.
On Wednesday, a school building in Alexandrovka and two houses in Staromikhailovka in western Donetsk were damaged in shelling by Ukrainian forces. Also, a utility shed was damaged as Ukrainian forces shelled Shakhta Trudovskaya.
In the previous reporting period, Ukrainian army units violated the ceasefire 13 times firing some 200 rounds of ammunition at DPR areas.*jk
