Donetsk, May 18 - DAN. Ukrainian armed formations opened fire at the Donetsk People’s Republic four times over the past 24 hours, the DPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) reported on Tuesday.
“Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian armed formations violated the indefinite ceasefire four times expending 76 rounds of ammunition,” the report said. (The amount of expended ammunition of calibre up to 12.7mm is not added to overall daily statistics - eds Donetsk News Agency).
Fire was delivered on the Gorlovka and Donetsk axes. The enemy used mortars, grenade launchers and high calibre small arms. The attempts to use the coordination mechanism in order to quickly establish a ceasefire yielded no results, the JCCC said.
Earlier on Tuesday, the DPR militia reported that a militiaman had been killed in mortar fire delivered by Kiev forces on the Gorlovka axis.
In the previous reporting period, Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire seven times.*jk
