Donetsk, May 4 - DAN. Ukrainian armed formations have opened fire at the Donetsk People’s Republic territory four times over the past 24 hours, the DPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) reported on Tuesday.

“Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian armed formations violated the indefinite ceasefire four times expending 33 rounds of ammunition,” the report said. (The amount of expended ammunition of calibre up to 12.7mm is not added to overall daily statistics - eds Donetsk News Agency).

Fire was delivered at the outskirts of the Vesyoloye village on the Donetsk axis and the Sakhanka, Kominternovo and Bezymennoye village areas on the  Mariupol axis.  The enemy used 82mm and 120mm mortars, grenade launchers and small arms including sniper rifles; an LPR militiaman was killed in enemy sniper fire, the JCCC said.

In the previous reporting period, Kiev army units opened fire at the DPR once.

The package of tighter ceasefire control measures came into force in Donbass on July 27, 2020. The document bans the use of all weapons, deployment of hardware, special operations, engineer works and unmanned aerial vehicles flights.*jk
