Donetsk, Jun 19 — DAN. Donetsk People’s Republic Emergencies Ministry engineers have carried out mine clearance operations on some 4,000 hectares since the beginning of the special military operation.
“Some 3,930 hectares of territory have been demined since the beginning of 2023, ” the DPR Emergencies Ministry press service told the Donetsk News Agency.
DPR mine clearance remains a priority, the Ministry said. Engineers respond to 10 to 40 demining request per day, depending on the security situation. They often encounter anti-peronnel and anti-tank mines and cannon and missile artillery shells.
The DPR Emergencies Ministry earlier reported that engineers had rendered harmless some 138,000 unexploded ordnances since the beginning of the special military operation.*jk
