Donetsk, Sep 11 - Ukrainian armed formations have violated the additional ceasefire control measures 121 times since July 27 when they came into force in Donbass, the Donetsk People’s Republic People’s Militia deputy commander Eduard Basurin said on Friday.

“We have recorded 121 violations by Ukrainian armed formations since the additional ceasefire control measures came into force, in the period from July 27 to September 11,” Basurin said.

Over this period, Ukrainian forces opened fire at DPR areas 30 times, used unmanned aerial vehicles 24 times and conducted engineer works along the entire contact line 67 times, he added.

Earlier reports on Friday said that Kiev forces had conducted engineer works outside Donetsk twice over the past 24 hours in violation of the additional ceasefire control measures.

Kiev forces’ engineer works to develop positions is an acute issue due to the situation in the Shumy settlement area outside Gorlovka.

The package of tighter ceasefire control measures came into force in Donbass on July 27, 2020. The document bans the use of any weapons, deployment of hardware, special operations, engineer works and flights of unmanned aerial vehicles.*jk
