Donetsk, Aug 17 - DAN. Servicemen of the Donetsk People’s Republic first ever conscription attended practical classes in countermeasures against radiological, chemical and biological threats, the DPR People’s Militia reported on Tuesday.

“The trainees had classes in radiological, chemical and biological threat protection to learn safety rules, regulations for contaminated environments, methods to measure the concentration of harmful substances and radiological, chemical and biological reconnaissance in the conditions of troops transit and dispersed CW agents,” the report said.

Combat training is underway at firing ranges and tank training areas. The conscripts learn to drive military vehicles, methods and techniques of delivering fire with small arms and organic weaponry of infantry fighting vehicles, and tank gun shooting using auxiliary barrels.

DPR Head Denis Pushilin announced the Republic’s first ever conscription to military service starting April 1. The reports said that some 200 men would be recruited. They will learn a military profession within six months, together will skills required of employees at law-enforcement bodies. The first conscripts arrived at a training center on April 13.*jk
