Donetsk, Dec 17 - DAN. Donetsk People’s Republic militia units have silenced the position of Ukrainian armed forces from which mortar fire had been delivered at the Leninskoye village outskirts on Thursday morning, the DPR People’s Militia reported.
The Leninskoye area came under 120mm mortar fire at around 8:30, Moscow time; ten rounds were expended.
“Enemy fire posed direct threat to Leninskoye residents, so DPR defenders had to return fire to suppress the enemy’s activity,” the DPR People’s Militia said.
DPR air defence units in the same area rebuffed the attempt by a Ukrainian army drone to cross the contact line, it added.*jk
