Donetsk, May 28 - DAN. Kiev planned to deploy three saboteur teams to the Donetsk People’s Republic, but the detention of one of them on May 22 foiled these plans, DPR People’s Militia spokesman Daniil Bezsonov said on Tuesday.
“We learnt that two more groups of saboteurs had been trained by U.S., Great Britain and Georgia; they had to enter our territory through the responsibility zones of the Ukrainian army’s 30th Separate Mechanised Brigade and 79th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade,” Bezsonov said.
On May 22, DPR militiamen detained a group of Ukrainian servicemen in the Elenovka area. The group carried explosives and had DPR uniforms and documents. The detainees told DPR investigators that they had been tasked with carry out acts of sabotage against the Republic and OSCE Mission personnel.*jk
