Donetsk, Nov 1 — DAN. Donetsk People’s Republic militiamen have taken by storm a Ukrainian stronghold in the village of Nevelskoye west of Donetsk, the DPR People’s Militia press service reported on Tuesday.
“During an offensive in the Nevelskoye settlement area, servicemen of DPR People’s Militia 100th Guards Brigade stormed and seized Ukrainian gunmen’s positions, ” the press service said.
They captured Ukrainian gunmen and a large amount of weapons including weapons of foreign origin, it added.
The DPR militia posted a video showing at least five captured gunmen.
Nevelskoye is located near Peski. Donetsk and its suburbs have been shelled from positions in this area for eight years. In the pre-war period, Nevelskoye had a population of some 300 people.*jk
