Donetsk, Feb 14 – DAN. Kiev forces deployed artillery, tanks and truckloads of munitions to the contact line area in vicinity of Donetsk, DPR Operations Command deputy commander Eduard Basurin said on Tuesday.
“Our intelligence keeps recording the deployment of banned enemy weapons to contact line area,” Basurin said.
In Yasnobrodovka village area outside Yasinovataya, 14 kilometers from the contact line, Giatsint-B 152mm howitzers were sported and in Avdeyevka, five kilometers from the contact line, three thanks and 13 trucks loaded with munitions, fuel and lubricants were revealed.
In Krasnogorovka, Zhelannoye-Vtoroye and Galitsinovka villages west of Donetsk, 16 Gvozdika self-propelled howitzers were spotted. “DPR informed OSCE mission representatives,” the deputy commander said.
Under the Package of Measures for the Implementation of the Minsk Agreements signed by the Contact Group on February 12, 2015, the sides have to withdraw their artillery systems of 100 mm calibre or more to a distance of 50 kilometres apart from each other, multiple launch rocket systems Tornado, Uragan and Smerch to a distance of 70 kilometres and Tactical Missile Systems Tochka to a distance of 140 kilometres.*jk
