Donetsk, Oct 1 – DAN. The DPR Head Denis Pushilin announced new military conscription in the Republic to begin on October 1 during the period of martial law.
The decree No305, published today on the official website of the Head, says that the conscription will last until December 31, 2021.
Men born in 1994-2003, who are not in the army reserve, are called up in accordance with the DPR Law dated February 13, 2015 "On conscription and military service".
The decree instructs enrolling 500 conscripts in the People's Militia for a period of six months.
Local authorities, together with relevant military bodies, are instructed to carry out the conscription, while the Ministry of Health is required to determine the list of medical institutions for examination of conscripts.
The first call for military service in the history of the Republic was announced on April 1, 2021. It covered 200 recruits.
