Petrovskoye, Oct 3 - DAN. The disengagement of forces and military hardware in DPR area of responsibility, Petrovskoye area south of Donetsk, is compleated, DAN correspondent reports.
The representative of Russia to the Joint Centre for Control and Co-ordination (JCCC) General Sergey Medvedskiy and OSCE SMM monitors observed the process, using a quadrotor.
DPR Command ordered unit commanders in Petrovskoye area to leave their positions and pull back at 2 km distance in accordance with the Framework Agreement on Disengagement of Forces of the Contact Group members.
"Personnel with weapons and hardware are pulled back, everything that is present on the positions. Thus the disengagement area as defined by the Framework Agreement will become demilitarized," DPR Operations Command chief of staff Ruslan Yakubov told DAN.
"The situation will further be observed by Russian officers of the JCCC and OSCE SMM monitors. Tomorrow demining starts in the areas around Petrovskoye," DPR Operations Command deputy commander Eduard Basurin said.
The representatives of DPR Command explained that the withdrawn forces will be stationed in Petrovskoye village.
Originally the disengagement in Petrovskoye area was scheduled for October,1st, but had to be postponed as Kiev disrupted the process. In LPR area of responsibility the disengagement was carried out only in Zolotoye area, while the pullback in Stanitsa Luganskaya zone is still being protracted by Kiev.
