Donetsk, Mar 26 – DAN. The Contact Group has supported DPR initiative to introduce Easter ceasefire in effect from 0:01 a.m. March 30, said DPR envoy to the Minsk negotiations Denis Pushilin.
"Donbass residents on the both sides of the contact line should be able to spend the Easter holidays peacefully. We sincerely hope that earlier agreements on additional safety measures and ceasefire, as well as the published orders to troops on observation of the ceasefire, adoption of disciplinary action against perpetrators will guarantee the peace and security during the celebrations," his statement reads.
The ceasefire will come into force on March 30, and "the support shown by the Contact Group to the DPR initiative, the confirmation of commitment to the ceasefire from both sides give hope that the security situation in Donbass will stabilize on the Easter eve." *ot
