Donetsk, Oct 27 – DAN. A cell tower in the Proletarskiy district of Donetsk was blown up this morning with a remotely detonated improvised explosive device, the Ministry of State Security said.
"The Ministry of State Security has established that a directed IED was detonated by a remote trigger at 9.48 a.m. As a result of explosion, equipment of a Phoenix's cell tower has been partially damaged," the report reads.
A criminal investigation has been launched under Art.256 DPR Criminal Code (Illegal Acquisition, Transfer, Sale, Storage, Transportation, or Bearing of Firearms, Its Basic Parts, Ammunition, Explosives, and Explosive Devices) and Art. 327 (Sabotage).
Emergency services have been working to minimize the consequences of the incident, search operation is underway.
