Basurin reports dramatic increase in Ukrainian shelling

Donetsk, Feb 15 – DAN. Ukrainian forces violated ceasefire 173 times over the week, firing on 23 townships in the DPR, said DPR People's Militia deputy chief-of-staff Eduard Basurin.

"The intensity of shelling has increased dramatically," he said.

"Overall, 173 ceasefire violations have been recorded this week, 23 townships have bee targeted."

The enemy used 120 mm and 82 mm mortars, IFVs, grenade launchers, large caliber machine guns and small arms.

Over the previous week, Ukrainian forces violated ceasefire 120 times firing at 19 townships.

The Contact Group endorsed a renewed "Christmas" ceasefire in Donbass in effect from December 29, 2018 1:01 a.m. GMT+3. *ot
