Donetsk, Nov 3 - DAN. Ceasefire violations by Ukrainian troops in southern Donbass are systemic, the Donetsk People’s Republic Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination said on Tuesday.

“Violations by Ukrainian armed formations are recorded on the southern axis nearly every day,” the JCCC said. “The enemy has been particularly active in the Vodyanoye settlement area.”

In October alone, Ukrainian troops in the Vodyanoye area opened fire including mortar fire at the DPR 12 times. In ten cases, fire was delivered at the Leninskoye village, in one case at the Kominternovo village and in one case at the Dzerzhinskoye village, the JCCC said.

Also, seven explosions of unknown origin were recorded in the above area; supposedly foxhole charges were blown. In two cases, works were carried out to organise new positions for Ukrainian troops. Ukrainian drones were sighted twice, and sniper fire was recorded as well.

“The above facts, recorded by DPR observers at the JCCC and confirmed by OSCE monitors present new evidence of Ukraine’s unilateral withdrawal from the additional measures to strengthen the ceasefire and can be viewed as preparations for the implementation of the so-called plan “B” which is actively announced by Kiev speakers,” the DPR representatives at the JCCC said.

The package of tighter ceasefire control measures came into force in Donbass on July 27, 2020. The document bans the use of any weapons, deployment of hardware, special operations, engineer works and unmanned aerial vehicles flights.  Violations of the accords by Ukraine such as strikes, launches of drones including attack drones, and engineer works, are recorded regularly.*jk
