Donetsk, Jun 23 — DAN. A folk music group of the Zlatoustovka Arts and Crafts Center will participate the All-Russia festival contest of folk choirs and musical ensembles in the Samara region, the Russian Center told the Donetsk News Agency on Friday.
“Every year, the contest brings together Russia’s top choirs, ” a Russian Center representative told the Donetsk News Agency. “This time, it will gather participants from 14 regions including the Donetsk People’s Republic.”
The Volga River State Academic Russian Folk Choir named after P.M. Miloslavov is expected to take part in the festival opening ceremony at the Tolyatti Philharmonic Hall of the St Alexius Volga Academy of Education and Arts.
The 19th festival is held with the support of the Russian culture ministry. Twenty-five groups which will compete in several categories such as folk choirs, folk songs and youth and adult folk ensembles. The jury led by Russia’s Honored Artist Pyotr Sorokin includes leading cultural figures.
Zlatoustovka is a village in the Volnovakha district of the Donetsk People’s Republic. It was liberated from Ukrainian forces in the beginning of the special military operation.*jk
