Donetsk, Sep 1 - DAN. Education in the economic, legal and medical spheres has become the most in demand among school graduates this year, the press service of the DPR Ministry of Education and Science said.
“The most popular among university applicants were faculties of legal and economic profiles: jurisprudence, economics, management, international relations, personnel management, economic security, customs, service, tourism, logistics,” it said.
Medical faculties were also among the most popular. The competition for dentistry was 14 people per one budget-funded place, for pharmacy - 10 people per place. Psychology is still popular with the competition of 8.5 people per place.
Linguistics, journalism, Romano-Germanic philology, IT-technologies, design were also in the top. Vocational education showed tendency towards pedagogy, medicine and services.
As of today, 20,000 students are enrolled in universities and vocational schools as the admission campaign continues. An additional enrollment has been announced for higher educational institutions from September 1 until September 11, and September 24 for vocational education. *ot
