Donetsk, Apr 17 - DAN. Donetsk Youth Chamber Orchestra has debuted in the city's Philharmonic Hall conducted by a famous Russian conductor Sergey Proskurin.

The performance lasted for an hour, young musicians playing pieces ranging from baroque to jazz - Arcangelo Corelli, George Frideric Handel, Pyotr Tchaikovsky, Sergei Rachmaninoff.

"Together with DPR Ministry of Culture we decided to organize an interesting project, to establish a youth orchestra in Donetsk. I was burning with the idea," Proskurin told DAN.

A twenty-piece Donetsk Youth Chamber Orchestra comprises students of Music College named after S.S. Prokofiev and state Music Academy, all of them picked by Proskurin, who said he would be glad to produce the orchestra and bring them to European halls. *ot
