Donetsk, Jun 13 — DAN. The Donetsk-based “Kosmos” circus has given 28 performances in towns and districts of the Donetsk People’s Republic over the past three months, said circus director Yury Kukuzenko.
“We’ve run 28 full-fledged shows over the past three months despite gunfire, ” Kukuzenko told the Donetsk News Agency. “Our orchestra took part in the performances: some of the guys are at the frontline, but their colleagues redid the orchestrated music and became our main creative force.”
The circus had to cancel aerialists’ acts due to a lack of proper conditions at performance venues, he said.
Earlier reports said that the Russian State Circus would present shows in the Donetsk People’s Republic from June 10 to August 20 featuring numerous animals: camels, parrots, beavers, yaks etc.*jk
