Donetsk, Jun 3 – DAN. Russian ethno-pop bands Buranovskiye Babushki and Babkiny Vnuki, and balalaika performer Andrey Kiryakov are to perform in Donetsk on June 6, the Russian Center press service told DAN.
"Folk music bands Buranovskiye Babushki and Babkiny Vnuki, as well as virtuoso Andrey Kiryakov are to perform in Donetsk on June 6 to mark the 220th anniversary of a famous Russian poet Alexander Pushkin's birth; the tour is facilitated by the Russian Center."
The concert is also a part of the Year of the Russian language. The performance begins in the Scherbakov park at 6 p.m.
The United Donbass Foundation invites residents of Kiev-cotrolled territory to visit Donetsk to enjoy the concert.
This year has been designated as the year of Russian language in the DPR. A number of cultural events are scheduled, including the celebration of Pushkin's birth 220th anniversary. *ot
