Donetsk, Jan 30 - DAN. Some 250 DPR high schoolers plan to take the Unified State Examination in Russia, the Republic’s Education and Science Ministry press service told Donetsk News Agency on Tuesday.
“In December we registered our schoolchildren who wished to take the United State Exam in the Russian Federation,” a press service representative said. “As of now we have about 250 such pupils on the list.”
She said that the ministry planned to arrange the schoolchildren’s trip to Russia for sitting for the exam.
Earlier reports said the Donbass Republics and Russia would hold a video conference over prepartions for the Unified State Exam in the Russian language.
The Unified State Exam is the main form of preliminary examinations at Russia universities. Russia introduced it in 2009 for objective evaluation of prospective student’s knowledge and providing them with the opportunity to enter any domestic university regardless of their place of residence.
The examination serves both as school finals and university entrance examinations. DPR students, too, take the USE to enrol at Russian universities. *jk
